We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to work on a permanent basis for a well-established Manufacturing Company based in the St Helens area. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to work on a permanent basis for a well-established Manufacturing Company based in the St Helens area. Salary £42,000 - £44,000 per annum On Call Allowance £998 per annum25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays Bonus Scheme – based on business targets and not guaranteed Pension Plan up to 8 employer contribution On-site parking Cycle to work scheme Working hours – Days 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities As part of the Engineering department, the successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of the maintenance on the Production Process and all associated plant, buildings, services and vehicles. Planned preventative maintenance activities Fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown or planned situations Modification and improvement of plant Hazard identification and elimination Problem solving Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and support and contribute to the site HSE initiatives Provide Training and mentoring to apprentices and colleagues Requirements The successful applicant will have completed a relevant Engineering Apprenticeship and be qualified to NVQ level 3, with proven experience within a similar Technical role. It will be necessary to work unsupervised for extended periods and be capable of identifying, generating and managing own workload which will involve effective communication with Supervision and members of other areas.
