As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial accounts, administration of financial systems, and compliance with statutory regulations. Job Title: Financial Accountant Contract: Temporary ongoing Hours: 35 hours per week Location: London E1Job Description: As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial accounts, administration of financial systems, and compliance with statutory regulations. You will work closely with internal and external auditors, maintain financial records, and provide leadership in financial management. Key Responsibilities: Prepare statutory accounts, administer financial systems, and handle VAT and Companies House returns. Manage the Accounts Payable process to ensure timely and accurate payments. Oversee the company's treasury management and produce cash-flow forecasts. Perform key reconciliations, including bank accounts, payroll, and VAT, and ensure proper documentation for approval. Ensure compliance with Financial Regulations and Standing Orders for all financial tasks. Provide training to staff within the organisation on Financial Regulations and procedures. Manage the annual closing of accounts process, set closing timetables, and coordinate with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely closure. Assist LBTH colleagues in the closing of accounts process, especially managing the inter-company position. Act as the primary contact for external audit during the annual accounts process and maintain records of recommendations. Work closely with internal audit, monitor the annual audit plan's delivery, and maintain records of agreed recommendations and their implementation. Maintain financial accounting systems.
