The Department of Natural Resources and Renewables is responsible for the development, management, conservation and protection of forest, mineral, parks and wildlife resources and the administration of the province's Crown land. Together we are working with Nova Scotians to build a better future through sustainable natural resource management as we all benefit from the natural health and wealth of the province. As a vital part of the Forestry and Wildlife branch, the Resource Management Division is the primary strategic lead for cross-departmental work to ensure the sustainable conservations, management and use of the province’s renewable resources, Crown Lands and forests. Ensures that planning, decision making and management action involving the provinces renewable resources are based on the best scientific and traditional knowledge available and ensures that all uses are sustainable. About Our Opportunity The Forestry and Wildlife Branch provides direction on policy, planning and program development in the areas of industry development and resource promotion, resource inventories and research, and the preparation of strategies and plans for the integrated development, management and conservation of the province's forests, parks and wildlife resources. As part of the Resource Management Division you would be responsible for: • Coordinating with staff, forest industry, other government agencies and non-government organizations on resource management targets and objectives to help ensure sustainability. • Development, support and implementation of policy, procedures, work.
