We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Personal Advisor , on a 3-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Responsibilities: To build positive relationships with young people to assist them in their approach to leaving care and following their 18th birthday. To support young people to make a successful transition to independent adulthood. To support young people manage good health / opportunities for education, training and employment / appropriate accommodation / managing their money / support positive relationships with family and friends. To ensuring positive Pathway Planning and regular reviewing of Plans with young people. To liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies and individuals who are involved in the provision of services. Identify shortfalls in service provision and advocate on behalf of clients Experience: 2+ years working with children and families within the Social Care sector. Experience as a care experienced person / with care leavers / as a Personal Advisor would be desirable. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
