Expected work schedule for the Ministry Outreach Assistant Director : Full- or part-time, flexible schedule Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projects Attendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff Retreats Pay structure for a Ministry Outreach Assistant Director : Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners Pay range is typically between $45,000 and $76,334 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors Ministry Outreach Assistant Director Benefits : Paid vacation, sick, holidays, and more (once eligible) Health benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for eligible staff Flexible hours and work-from-home availability Work for a growing Christian organization Staff care to support mental, social, and spiritual health for all staff About the area and Responsibilities of a Ministry Outreach Assistant Director The overall role of the Ministry Outreach Assistant Director is to support the Area Director with oversight of ethnic outreach teams and launch/maintenance of campus locations. This involves providing administrative guidance, communication of strategic and mission-based focus, and supervision of outreach staff, so teams can support the growth of the ministry's impact on reaching and discipling more international students. This position is part of the Central Ohio ministry team and requires the candidate to live in Columbus, OH. The Ministry Outreach Assistant Director will (list not all inclusive): Manage other staff and interns to help them excel in their work and meet deadlines and requirements by: Providing coaching, oversight, assessments for performance, and expectations for full funding (paid staff) Providing staff care, fostering an environment for growth and spiritual health, ensuring staff members are vision driven Recruit, oversee and coordinate ethnic outreach teams across the area (multiple campuses) Launch and maintain new campuses Help staff launch outreach activities on new campus Coordinate with churches and volunteers to support new campuses Direct ministry, such as the following: Be a friendship partner or disciple at least one international student Participate in/lead a bible study for international students, sharing Christian spirituality as a way of life even among different cultures Develop and maintain financial and prayer partnerships for the budgeted needs of the role by sharing the vision of the ministry, ensuring minimum monetary standards are achieved, partner care, and sending out a ministry newsletter at least every other month to partners Qualifications needed of a Ministry Outreach Assistant Director, including Spiritual Characteristics Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies Is faithful, loyal and dedicated to IFI's mandate from the Lord to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students out of reverence for Jesus Godly character that follows the examples defined in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1 Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently Be a self-starter, able to work independently, as well as a team player Ability to work under stress and be flexible Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications Ability to hold themselves and others accountable Education/Experience Preferred for a Ministry Outreach Assistant Director: Minimum of a Bachelor degree, preferably in a ministry related field Minimum of five years of evangelical and cross cultural ministry experience Minimum of three years of work experience managing a team of 5 or more people Certificate-level completion of Perspectives on the World Christian movement is preferred and, if not existent, should be completed within three years of employment with IFI.
