About Ian's Pizza Our Commissary Kitchen (otherwise known as "the Lab") is a high-volume production kitchen that serves our Wisconsin locations. The Lab is producing all of the salad dressings, pizza sauces, and toppings for those pies and salads that we're famous for! Prep Cook Job Duties and Expectations If you are looking for morning shifts, you'll work on food production: preparing sauces, dressings, and meats according to our recipes. If you are looking for afternoons and evenings, it's all the fresh prep: washing and chopping veggies. All products need to be packaged, labeled, and dated following necessary guidelines. You'll also have to keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well-stocked. It's busy work, and it can be repetitive. But you'll have a fantastic team, and they make the job feel fun and engaging! Here's what you'll need to be successful at Ian's... Learn what to prioritize and when to ask for help. Communicate well and often. Treat everyone with respect and great service. Keep busy even when no one is watching to get the job done. Arrive on time, ready to go, and follow through on tasks. We're depending on you! Practice generosity with your time and bring positive energy. Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Be able to bend, crouch, and lift up to 20-50 lbs. Be able to use ovens, pizza cutters, and other equipment of the business. Must be 18+ to apply. Scheduling This is not your typical 9-5. We're open Monday-Friday from 6am-12am and Saturdays 12pm-10pm. Each employee is required to work a minimum of two Saturday shifts (12pm-8pm/10pm) and/or weekday PM shifts (2pm-10pm/12am) each month. Part time (less than 30 hours a week) or full time (30-40 hours a week) hours are available. If you rely on public transportation, this will effect your availability. Most bus schedules will not allow for a 6am start time, so 7am is the earliest most people are able to start that rely on the bus. Wages and Other Benefits All cooks at our Lab start at $16/hour, and are eligible for the following additional benefits... Referral bonuses ($250 per referral). Reliable, set schedules.
