SUMMARY : The Finance and Accounting Analyst is responsible for assisting with the Finance and Accounting needs of the organization. This includes timely and accurate financial reporting that are GAAP compliant; maintaining and enhancing financial systems and processes; and internal controls. This role may also be assigned as primary or secondary resource for the a ccounting, compliance and reporting of revenue contracts, daily accounting responsibilities, period close and financial reporting. The Finance and Accounting Analyst may also assist with reporting, financial planning and analysis tasks for the organization. These include budgets, forecasts, periodic reporting, and various analysis. The Finance and Accounting Analyst should be a high performing professional with a high degree of care for our work; team player; reliable; self-motivated and work collaboratively with other functions. PRIMARY DUTIES : Finance operations - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable. Assist with Revenue Contract management, Month End close, Year-end close. Assist with the timely and accurate delivery of internal financial reporting, and financial reviews as needed. Assist with the development and implementation of financial systems and processes. Assist with the accurate and timely compilation of forecasts, analysis, and related reporting. Assist with developing and producing organizational performance metrics, benchmarking, and economic trends. Assist with developing and producing financial models, as needed. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures manual for key finance operations. Collaborate across functions and MOFC partners as required. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Skills/Competencies: Ability to manage competing priorities and adhere to deadlines. Strong EQ, analytical and quantitative skills. High proficiency in Financial and Productivity software. Strong foundation in finance and accounting, analytical skills and communication skills. Strong verbal, non-verbal written, analytical, and persuasive skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently and be self-directed. Must be a team player. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in Finance/Accounting. Preferred areas of experience include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, GAAP, General ledger management, period-end close, annual Audit, SEFA, Revenue Contract management, Restricted revenues, Grant Compliance, financial reporting, and compliance. Inventory management, non-profit accounting, and finance. Budgets/Forecasts, Reporting, Financial Analysis. High proficiency in Financial and Productivity systems. Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or Accounting required, CPA track preferred. JOB CONDITIONS : Working Conditions : Normal office environment.
