SUMMARY: The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for leading and coordinating the planning, execution, and delivery of projects for the business development team. WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR: This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage relationships with external business partners and stakeholders. The PM will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching team members to develop their project management skills and will play a key role in driving the organization's project management methodology forward. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned . Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, success metrics and resource allocation for complex, cross-departmental projects Coordinate project activities and resources, including staff, volunteers, and partners Communicate project progress and updates to internal/ external stakeholders, including executive leadership and the board of directors Manage relationships with external business partners and stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned and working towards project goals Manage project budgets and track revenue and expenses to ensure projects are on budget and meeting desired revenue targets Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery Conduct data analysis and create reports for internal/ external stakeholders to support decision-making and evaluate project impact and business case Develop and deliver presentations and reports on project progress and results to executive leadership and external business partners Contribute to the development of new project and partnership proposals Mentor and coach team members to develop their project management skills Lead the development and implementation of the organization's project management methodology REQUIRED SKILLS Highly collaborative with an ability to work independently, and in a team environment with other departments Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Strong leadership and teamwork skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to speak confidently and effectively before groups of members and employees of the association Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to persuade, negotiate, and to build and maintain productive relationships Initiative-taking and results driven Advanced organization and follow up skills A consistent track record of meeting and exceeding goals Adept at working within time constraints Strong problem solving and analytical skills Self-motivated and passionate Has the ability to celebrate change and embrace accountability A passion for smart home technology and IoT is a plus EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. project management, business, non-profit management) 5+ years of project management experience Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g. Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project) PMP Certification is a plus Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel, Tableau, Power BI) Experience working with partners and stakeholders is a plus Experience mentoring and coaching team members is a plus Experience leading the development and implementation of project management methodologies is a plus Travel : This position may require some travel throughout the year, up to 10%.
