Volunteers help provide a close interaction with the community and help enhance the quality of the lives of our residents. Caring and compassionate people who want to make a difference in their community and in the lives of our residents are always welcomed at Mille Lacs Health System. We are able to provide a flexible schedule and welcoming atmosphere that can accommodate as little as one hour per week to spend with our residents. Volunteers Roles One on one visits with residents Assisting with recreational programs Assisting with Spiritual programs Pet Visits Other Programs and Activities Entertainment Art classes and craft projects Baking Plant care Reading groups Bible Study groups Various spiritual services Bingo Birthday and other Holiday parties Glamour Care Requirements Provide Current Photo Identification Successful Completion of a TB Screening Successful completion of Drug and Alcohol Screen Consent and successful completion of a Criminal Background Check Consent and successful completion and clearance of a Department of Human Service Background check focusing on the Vulnerable sector screening Volunteers must be over the age of 14, those under 16 years of age, require parental consent and supervision during screening process A current flu shot is recommended but not mandatory Additional Eligibility Qualifications Resident Focus Ethical Conduct Flexibility Teamwork Orientated Quality and Safety focused Job Posted by ApplicantPro
