BENEFITS Opportunities for overtime 6 Paid Holidays Paid Time Off available $10k in Company Paid Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan with STRONG match Medical, Dental and Vision offered Family-oriented positive culture, ideal for those looking for a long-term career Opportunity for growth POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift Transport bulk materials to and from customer trucks, haul trucks, material bins, etc. Operate color/dye machine for mulch products. Perform routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. Load and unload yard waste and organic materials from the back of company vehicles, on site and on routes. Maintain equipment in proper working order & review maintenance logs for repairs. Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors, drivers and crew, laborers and operators, and customers serviced. Safely operate loader and perform mechanic and general labor duties. Maintain good housekeeping around the plant site. Perform daily safety inspections, report defects or problems for equipment operated. Load bins to ensure appropriate stock levels and load haul trucks while maintaining safe area for stock piling and customer load out. MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 2 years of heavy equipment operator experience with proven safety record. Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge and skills. Ability to lift 50 pounds and be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Ability to follow instructions, take direction well and be able to adapt to changes in the operation. Be a team player, willing to help wherever necessary and have a "can do" attitude. Strong work ethic and be able to remain busy the entire day, looking for new tasks or where else to help when your tasks are completed.
