Donor Relationship Manager of Major Gifts

JOB SUMMARY : This position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individuals to secure major gifts of $10,000+ with a goal of increasing donations at the $100,000+ level. PRIMARY DUTIES : Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors that have capacity to make gifts of $10,000+ annually Manage a portfolio of 80-100 major and planned gift donors and prospects Build meaningful relationships with donors through intentional engagement with Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) leaders, board, and committee members Be responsible for prospect identification, including research and qualification Create thorough proposals for solicitation of individual prospects Support all Food Collective fundraising efforts where needed, in addition to major gifts Participate in industry conferences and serve on committees to ensure representation of MOFC Track all activities and donor moves management in Charity Engine (the MOFC Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system) to demonstrate performance metrics are being met Establish and maintain strong working relationships with MOFC team members Work in collaboration with other development team members EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience is required. Experience: Five years of experience in soliciting and closing major gifts with proven track record of securing gifts in excess of $10,000. Experience in effectively communicating knowledge of a complex organization including its vision, mission, goals, objectives, and community impact. Skills/Competencies: High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to represent MOFC with professionalism when interacting with stakeholders. Must maintain confidentiality and a commitment to high standards of fundraising ethics. Expertise in constituent relationship management software and Microsoft Office is required. Persuasive written and verbal communication skills, and relationship building skills are required. Proficient at task management and oversight, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, be flexible, and meet deadlines. Works respectfully and effectively with others. JOB CONDITIONS : Working Conditions : Normal office environment with the possibility of a hybrid schedule. Occasional travel is required.
