Position: Museum Experiences Supervisor Status: Full time Location: Warren G. Harding Presidential Sites Compensation: $18.00/hour Summary: Responsible for creating positive site experiences for families, K-12 students and teachers. Essential Functions: Designs and creates programs/events for students and families. Consults Ohio Educational Standards in designing programs and experiences for students. Assembles and oversees a group of volunteers to assist with family and student events. Customizes interpretation so that it is appropriate for different age levels of schoolchildren. Oversees field trip program, including creating materials, establishing relationships with teachers/school administrators, training school field trip interpreters as needed. Works with Teacher Advisory Board to outline new programming. Prepares museum experiences strategic plan, to align with site strategic plan. Other duties as assigned. Reports to Site Manager Required Education & Experience College bachelor's degree required, teacher certification desired but not required. Five years experience in working with children in education-related setting. Management experience encouraged. Desired Skills & Experience Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe. Design of materials using graphic design programs required. Must master online ticketing system and point of purchase system (training provided) Required Competencies: Self-directed and flexible Resourcefulness and initiative Problem-solving and decision-making Excellent organizational skills Able to work independently without supervision Even-tempered Able to handle multiple tasks Ability to work some weekends and evenings, if needed Work Environment: Primarily indoors EOE Statement: Ohio History Connection will recruit, hire and maintain a diverse workforce allowing for the inclusion of every employee's unique value, contribution and potential.
