Commercial Support Lawyer One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne – hybrid working 2 days office based, 3 from home. As our Commercial Support Lawyer you will provide advice and assistance in relation to a broad range of commercial and contract matters on behalf of Home Group. You’ll deliver an effective and customer focussed in-house legal service, driving consistency, and mitigating risks in relation to commercial transactions. Typical day as a Commercial Support Lawyer Working collaboratively with the procurement team and operational teams to support with tenders or projects Reviewing and drafting appropriate contract terms Identify and advise the business on contractual risks Explain risks to business areas and consider mitigations Conduct negotiations with suppliers Support the business to make informed commercial decisions in line with strategy Ensure contract databases and records are up to date and accurate Ensure continuous improvement for internal processes and contract records You’ll be joining an organisation that is one of the top 10 great places to work in the UK too! You will be/have A qualified solicitor/barrister with relevant experience Knowledge of commercial law/procurement law, housing association law, contractual disputes, and contract termination.
