Teck is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to Superintendent, Feed backssment, the Process Engineer is responsible for execution of process development and optimization projects for Teck’s Trail Operations Pb-Zn Metallurgical facility. We require someone who is self-motivated, has strong problem-solving skills, knowledgeable in extractive metallurgy knowledge, and has a passion for continuous improvement. This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Prepare tests plans and supervise the execution of benchtop, pilot plant and commercial plant test work and trials Develop process designs from analysis and interpretation of test-work program results or plant data Prepare written technical reports summarizing the details of the analysis and conclusions/recommendations Complete metallurgical simulation using existing modeling tools in support of projects Develop flow sheets, design criteria, mass, energy and water balances for projects.
