Position Summary Consistent with the principles of primary health care and the Mission, Vision and Values of Mount Carmel Clinic. The primary focus of the Perinatal Nurse is providing perinatal nursing care to clients and families of the Point Douglas community and surrounding areas. The incumbent works in partnership with the primary care team and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive client centered care. The incumbent adopts a long-term client centered approach to care that is consistent with the philosophy of harm reduction and as a means of ensuring continuity of care. Perinatal nursing services are provided in the clinic and the community. Qualifications Education & Licensing Must be a member in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) Must be licensed to practice in Manitoba Must have experience taking responsibility for the activities of a nursing unit.
