Operations Team Member Job Type : Full Time Location: Huntingdon Salary: Competitive Hours: This is a full: time post of 37.5 hours per week worked between 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday. The Role This role is to work in the workshop preparing the specialist materials for dispatch to the customers. The work is constant, with peaks of work required to fulfil orders on time. You will be using general workshop equipment to produce finished items to customer requirements. There are opportunities to learn additional skills e. g. materials preparation and packing, to both enhance your abilities and to be able to add more skills to the team. Key Responsibilities Ensure Safety within work area by completing safety checks, following SWPs Select correct material from stock for finished item Safely use workshop equipment to produce items for customer orders Produce finished item to production sheet specifications, minimising wastage to meet customer expectations, using workshop equipment safely Ability to understand engineering drawings Inspection of finished items Accurate completion of documentation and systems for each completed job Ensure timely turnaround of orders Keep the work environment safe and tidy Ensure that all tasks are performed to the required standard and quality to meet both internal and external customer requirements. Update stock quantities via internal stock management systems Confirm and check order details Maintain and store stock to a safe and accurate standard Flexibility within the team is a key requirement. Must be prepared to work where requested to meet the needs of the customer. Document processes and procedures for new or newly revised product designs. Identify and communicate opportunities to improve processes in support of efforts to increase standardisation, reduce costs, reduce cycle times and improve safety Set up and operate equipment to produce products that meet customer specifications.
