Medline Industries has an immediate opening for a Field Inventory Specialist in the Orthopedics product division! This position will be based out of our Southaven, MS and will offer an traditional on-site model of work. JOB SUMMARY The Field Inventory Specialist will be responsible for monitoring field operations initiatives, daily loaner requests, and usage reporting for Ortho inventory to help the division optimize inventory across all territories. They will also serve as the primary point of contact for a wide range of inventory requests during business hours, across all time zones. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES The Field Inventory Specialist is responsible for approval and denial of shipments in order to manage utilization of field inventory. Engaging with customers, as needed, to resolve issues, meet business needs, identify and coordinate daily kit inspection/processing priorities in the branch.This person will use available reporting data to make decisions on inventory usage, movement, and return requirements (due to expiration or low usage). Analyze and present loaner inventory utilization data to sales management and division management as well as generate data from various systems, create reporting, and make business decisions based on the output. The Field Inventory Specialist will conduct annual inventory audits with 50+ nationwide distributor territories - this includes assessment of historical shipment research, lot corrections, and coordination of returns shipment. Execute inventory analysis for balancing activities and be responsible for notification to sales management and division management of all loaner utilization activity and issue. Work Experience At least 4 years' experience in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to interpret raw data and present trends and recommendations based on the results.Experience working in medical device material handling. Experience with production processes. Microsoft Excel: Intermediate Skill Level (Pivot Tables, Index/Match).Position requires work schedule flexibility to address off-schedule, client requests.Position requires occasional U.S. domestic travel for business purposes (within state and out of state). PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS Work ExperiencePrior data reporting and/or analysis experience.Experience working in medical device material handling. Experience with production processes.
