In this permanent post as Functional Safety Engineer, you will have responsibility Managing the complete lifecycle for Instrumented Functions and other critical functions at the this manufacturing site to ensure compliance with recognised industry standards and relevant good practice. To maintain their status as a market leader within the sector, this manufacturer has ambitious but stable expansion and investment strategies over the next 5-10 years in which this individual as Functional Safety Engineer will be key to delivering and facilitating. Responsibilities of the Functional Safety Engineer; Developing procedures and systems for compliance with IEC 61508, 61511 and 62061. Supporting and leading IEC 61508/61511 FSA studies. Supporting HAZOP, LOPA, SIL determination studies, PUWER and Machinery risk backssments. To communicate risks, issues and non-compliance and associated process equipment, to all stakeholders informing them of risk and where necessary escalate issues and seek resolution. Reviewing and developing proof testing procedures, cause and effect matrices for SIFs and other critical functions. Ensuring the competence of all E, C&I craftspeople.
