Job Description Location: Brampton, ONSalary: $24.50HOUR hourly for 35 hours per week Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time Night, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours Start date: Starts as soon as possiblevacancies: 3 vacancies Verified Source Job Bank #2034212 Benefits As per the company policy Job Requirements Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc. )Driver's License (Class 1 or A); AZ class license Experience: Will train Specific Skills: Transport and handle dangerous goods; Perform preventive maintenance; Perform emergency roadside repairs; Pay and receive payments for goods; Perform brake adjustments; Load and unload goods; Drive lighter, special purpose trucks; Receive and relay information to central dispatch; Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials; Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo; Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy; Oversee condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment; Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations; Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption; Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Documentation Knowledge: Accident or incident reports; Trip reports; Trans-border documentation; Maintenance and repair reports; Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip); Dangerous goods occurrence reports; Driver logbook; Bill of lading Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Sitting; Large workload; Overtime required Personal Suitability Effective interpersonal skills; Flexibility; Judgement; Reliability; Organized Employment groups: This employer.
