The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority. The Role Key purpose of the role to participate in fully embracing and developing corporate and central government initiatives, to enable the City Council to deliver its services with full public participation. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Manage, monitor and support the partnership contractual arrangements for delivery of drainage functions, Review and amend as required designs and proposals put forward by partners and contractors. Review and amend as required drainage improvement works implementation to ensure specifications are met and they are fit for purpose. Project manage specialist flood risk, drainage and/or water quality projects as required to unlock or investigate arising issues as required by Flood and Water Management Act 2010. The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require: Experience in monitoring the effectiveness of highways schemes, including supervision of the consultants and contractors, identifying issues and measures to improve scheme delivery and standards. Experience in providing drainage maintenance input into all proposed drainage schemes, to sustain and improve the life cycle of the assets through identifying risks and mitigation measures as appropriate.
