The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and development of pressure vessels for the nuclear sector, ensuring compliance with industry codes, standards, and quality requirements. Role Summary: As a Pressure Vessel Design Engineer in the nuclear sector, you will be responsible for developing and designing pressure vessels that meet stringent regulatory requirements. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality, safe, and reliable solutions for the nuclear power industry. Key Responsibilities: Utilise previous experience working with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code and/or equivalent design codes specific to the nuclear power industry. Apply comprehensive understanding of quality assurance requirements in accordance with ASME NQA-1 and NRC 10CFR 50 App. B. Demonstrate proficiency in ASME, EN, API, and PED standards, ensuring adherence to design principles for valves and pressure equipment. Experience in designing and sizing valves within control or isolation products is highly desirable. Contribute to the complete development cycle, from customer specification requirements to validated product. Perform design and performance calculations, producing comprehensive design.
