Position Summary Salary: low $63,779.92, average $68,992.33, and high $75,377.74 - annually depending on experience. MSU benefits include free comprehensive health care for you and your family as well as a 10% contribution toward your retirement; generous sick, vacation, personal and holiday time; eligible to work a partial/hybrid remote schedule. Regular attendance is required to meet business and customer needs. Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in public and media relations, composing, editing and publication production, news, broadcasting, and print media, and/or marketing, advertising, and creative services; graphic design; word processing; desktop publishing; web design; presentation; spreadsheet and/or database software; public presentation; or radio production; or computer programming/technology; experience managing content for social media channels; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Qualifications Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier); experience with website content management system and SharePoint; experience managing social media sites and content; ability to work as an effective member of a team or independently; ability to adjust content for the target audience; ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks; self-starter who possesses good problem-solving and decision-making skills; notices details in editing process; knowledge of digital accessibility; awareness of diversity, equity and inclusion values. Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions and re-prioritize work when needed.
