At Marsh, our people are the only irreplaceable assets, the ones who will make the difference now and for years to come.Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position: Senior Underwriter What you can expect: Under limited supervision, the Senior Underwriter is responsible for overseeing monthly renewal rating process for Auto, GL, and Worker's Compensation coverage lines within a program delivery. The Senior Underwriter works with the program account team and the Underwriting Lead to ensure the underwriting guidelines are finalize for each rating period and executed with each renewing insured. Competitive pay (salary and performance bonus potential). We will count on you to: Consults with clients on insurance risk and offers solutions that best fit their situation and circumstances. Reviews and analyzes major submissions without assistance, and identifies new business opportunities to generate new accounts while maintaining a book of existing business. Conducts quality assurance of the insurance risk calculations from junior underwriting staff. Completes policy issuance and handles account transactions by negotiating and obtaining mutual agreement from clients, and binds coverage and initiates issuance of documents. Reviews and analyzes new submissions for context and requirements in adherence to state laws and regulations for ratings and quotations. Establishes and maintains business relationships with carriers and brokers to negotiate terms and conditions and to expand business with the client account.
