Our client is an industry leader in Transportation and warehousing and are currently seeking a Distribution Center manager for their facility located just outside of Indianapolis, IN. They take pride in our efficient and customer-focused distribution center. As a small but growing operation, we are committed to excellence and teamwork.Position Overview: We are seeking a Distribution Center Manager to lead our close-knit team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in overseeing daily operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring seamless distribution of goods.Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of warehouse associates, supervisor, and administrative staff.Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, stock rotation, and order fulfillment.Process Optimization: Continuously improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Quality Assurance: Ensure accurate order picking, packing, and shipping.Safety Compliance: Implement safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment.Vendor Relations: Collaborate with suppliers and carriers to streamline logistics.Performance Metrics: Monitor KPIs related to productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery.Budget Management: Control expenses within budgetary guidelines.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field (preferred).Proven experience as a distribution center manager or similar role.Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire a team.Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
