Glad Tidings Churchs main campus is located in Muncie, IN. We are praying fervently to become a network of life-giving congregations (one church with multiple locations), filled with biblically sound believers, who are passionately invested in the Great Commission, both through deep generosity and the sending of laborers. Currently, Glad Tidings has four campuses with two located in Muncie, IN, one located in Dunkirk, IN., and one located in Hartford City, IN. In 2025, Glad Tidings will once again expand its network by launching a new campus in New Castle, IN.We are seeking to hire a full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will provide fiscal leadership, advice, and support for the Lead Pastor, Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.Reporting to the Lead Pastor, the CFO will be responsible for all financial areas of the organization, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, reporting, financial services, contract negotiation, contract management, and compliance.The CFO will ensure good stewardship of Glad Tidings resources, protect the financial integrity of the entire network, and assist in the preparation for the financial future of Glad Tidings. With a strong eye for details the CFO must be a forward-thinking visionary, and a planner who anticipates barriers and forecasts future needs. Final pay package will commensurate with experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide direction, oversight, and creative vision to the business department staff of the network. Ensure financial, legal, tax, and other agency compliance for the church, school, and daycare. Oversee payroll and HR operations. Ensure benefit compliance and provide information for all staff in regard to personnel benefits. Seek to secure and enroll staff in personnel benefits. Oversee the school leader and the daycare director. Lead development activities, fund-raising campaigns. Oversee grant writing process by finding potential grants, securing the writing of those grants, and resourcing those who write them. EXPECTATIONS Committed follower of Jesus who is unashamed of their faith, bold in their witness, and clearly in love with Christ. Disciplined devotional and prayer life. Demonstrated love for the Church and the work of the Kingdom. Generous giver and good steward of their own financial resources. Family that is also committed to God and the Church. Experience leading people and overseeing financial operations. Willingness to lead strong and be loyal to senior leadership. Self-motivated and capable of working without constant oversight. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong familiarity and experience with accounting principles. A willingness to work hard, no less than 45 hours per week in the office and be faithful to church with family. Weekly weekend worship attendance at GT Muncie.
