They are what we believe, what customers can expect, and how we deliver. Project Overview Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. Bechtel will design and build Phase 1 of the Ohio One project, a total of 2.5 million square feet, including 600,000 square feet of cleanrooms. Construction will require as much steel as eight Eiffel Towers and as much concrete as the tallest skyscrapers. Bechtel will strengthen future economic development in the region by partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Position Summary Assigned to the Construction organization as a Construction Survey Technician (CST), responsible for providing field and office support as required to the construction survey team. The CST reports directly to the Survey Engineer/Party Chief (PC). The CST interprets design drawings and specifications to determine associated commodities and equipment locations and provides support to his/her assigned field survey team in support of the civil, structural, mechanical, and piping installations in the work area. Responsibilities : Provide Construction Survey support to the PC and Project Survey Manager.: Support the survey team's implementation of the project safety, quality, and environmental programs.: Assist the PC with the accurate layout of construction work, recordation of field data according to job specifications and appropriate methods of performing survey activities.: Perform duties of a Rod Person and/or Instrument Person on a direct:hire survey crew; operates the survey instrument(s), rod, staff, GNSS rover, and other survey implements as required in accordance with Bechtel survey procedures.: Perform other duties as required in support of construction layout, laser scanning or other surveyactivities, including substituting for the PC during his/her absence.: Assures that all survey equipment is in good working order and that instruments are properlytransported.: Assist the PC in providing support to both Field Engineering and Field Supervision.: Assist the PC in developing and maintaining survey data.: Performs Calibration Baseline checks of survey instruments.: Supports the administration of the survey work request program.: Assist the PC in providing civil project completion documentation including As:Built records.: Assist in performing verifications of subcontract survey work.
