Medical Billing Intern Job Description- We are seeking a motivated and eager individual to join our medical practice as an intern. In this role, you will gain valuable experience in the healthcare industry and learn about the medical billing process. Manage the front desk answering phones and managing the patient flow from setting appointments, managing providers schedules and patient oriented services.Responsibilities:- Assist with data entry of patient information, insurance details, and medical codes, take patient payments- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials- Work closely with current biller to ensure accurate and timely billing- Learn about medical coding and insurance regulations- Help generate financial reports and analyze billing dataRequirements:- Currently enrolled in a related degree program such as healthcare administration, medical billing, or a similar field or have work experience in similar field- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing codesThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in medical billing and healthcare administration.
