The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years of experience in bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and developer/borrower counsel roles, specializing in traditional, general obligation, revenue, and project-based financings.Duties:Act as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and developer/borrower counsel on various financial transactions.Provide legal advice and support throughout the financing process, including drafting documents, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms.Conduct legal research and analysis related to bond financing laws, regulations, and market trends.Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external parties to ensure successful completion of transactions.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Ohio State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.Minimum of 6+ years of experience practicing law, focusing on bond finance transactions.Strong understanding of municipal finance laws, regulations, and industry practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Certifications (Preferred):Certification in Public Finance Law from the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) or equivalent.Skills:Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including bond indentures, purchase agreements, and disclosure materials.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy in legal research and documentation.Strong interpersonal skills for effective client communication and relationship-building.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
