We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and motivated CNC Machinist II to join our team in Bloomfield, CT on day shift. The core hours for the position are 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, and we are currently running one hour of mandatory overtime, at the beginning of the shift for a required 45 hours a week. Overttime pay is 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 hours in a week. This includes a one week paid shutdown during the holidays that does not require you to use vacation time. As an industry leader we design, test and manufacture the highest performing, self-lubricating, roller element, metal to metal and miniature bearings in the industry.Essential Duties and Responsibilities With limited technical supervision, checks out programming, sets up, operates and adjusts semi-automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring considerable skill Works from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings Perform operations that may include drilling, honing, boring, milling and turning, screw machine operation, etc., on routine and repetitive operations. Checks parts for conformance to specifications Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in learning other positions.
