Project Manager Location: Jersey City, NY Duration: 12 months Description/Comment: Responsible for the management of projects (e.g., strategic change management, new business and product initiatives, process re-engineering, establishment of control procedures). Work on multi-disciplinary projects and require a broad knowledge of the company and its key functions. These projects necessitate full time commitment and are not undertaken by incumbents whose primary role is elsewhere. Strong quantitative, analytic and project management skills are also required. Business Overview: Under the CIB Transversal Americas COO Office, DRIVE Project Implementation Americas is building its core expertise in managing transversal and transformation projects across all Global Markets & Global Banking Business Lines. We are looking to on-board project managers (Contractors) with strong functional & business knowledge, as well as, regulatory and compliance expertise. Responsibilities: As Project Manager in the DRIVE Project Implementation team: Manage and lead assigned projects to completion with delivery of agreed objectives. This will require working closely with all functions - Front office, Operations, Finance, IT, Compliance, Legal, Risk etc. Assist in structuring projects, create and maintain governance syndicated by all parties. Drive the delivery effort by maintaining project lists, organizing follow up meetings, creating and distributing meeting minutes. Ensure clear communication of goals, risks, efforts involved, as well as on the progress of the remediation initiatives and upcoming project Use Business analyst skills and product/business knowledge to assist in the end-to-end resolution of platform issues Lead UAT testing coordination, tracking and reporting Minimum Required Qualifications 7-10 years of professional experience (in a project capacity and or product development capacity), with experience and knowledge of Global Market activities including trade processing flows and settlement processes specifically in Cash equities, Listed Options, Fixed Income and Derivative products Experience understanding and delivering regulatory change projects and technology intensive change initiatives Strong experience in project management and business analysis is essential (business requirements, process flows, procedures, GAP analysis). Expertise in Trading and Operations (functional or in a project capacity), with knowledge of Global Markets activities, Compliance and Regulatory reporting framework as well as post trade activities (processing flows, clearing / settlement processes, etc..) Proficiency with trade flows (front to back) is critical. A keen focus on 'Process and Risk' awareness is a KEY CRITERIA for this position. Deep knowledge of & experience executing all project management concepts. Project planning, documentation experience, & stakeholder management is essential Strong knowledge of using JIRA, structuring test pack, coordinating UAT and managing issues resolution Excellent level of knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The candidate: Needs to demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn new processes quickly. Need to show ability to multi-task and shift gears for various topics and perimeter during the project life cycle (i.e. Knowledge of FO Products and processes, Operations, IT, Finance etc.). Must be able to manage multiple initiatives of various scale Must have a good understanding of the project life cycle and what each phase implies. Business Analyst experience is critical for this role. Experience in project management with abilities to work with SMEs. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to delve into complicated situations (issues, people, processes etc.), sort out the information and propose the solution/next steps. Must be able to professionally and efficiently manage situations of conflict and work with collaborators to arrive at a solution. Must be comfortable communicating with senior audience and adapt communication based on target audience. Must be able to engage multiple teams not directly under team reporting line
