In this role, you will retain current HEAR (high erucic acid rapeseed) farmers within the Western Kentucky Region as well as acquire new HEAR farmer customers. Coordinate with current Perdue Agribusiness (PAB) infrastructure and support for additional Specialty Crops Production. Provide customer service and support for HEAR and related PAB grain production demands. Principal and Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Direct PAB seed sales (HEAR) and acreage contracting with farmers within the Western Kentucky/Tennessee/Ohio Sales territory as defined by PAB : Coordinate PAB contracted acres and farmer production with PAB grain origination management and facilities : Provide customer service with current and prospective clients, while maintaining accurate records of call activity, expenses, and the sales process.: Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software e.g., Salesforce to manage and track farmer sales activity with growers and influencers within the assigned geography; improving product volume generation and market share for HEAR acres.: Proficient in use of MSOFFICE suite software, Salesforce CRM: Represent PAB at various Industry Conferences and Shows, Grower meetings and supplier functions in the assigned geography.: Perform PAB HEAR seed reconciliation forecasting for seed needs, contracted acres, and grower profitability.: Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Lead Generation, Conversions, Contracted and Planted Acres, and Grower Retention. Minimum Education BS Degree (AgriBusiness / Seed Sales, Ag Economics, Ag Agronomy) OR Ag Associates Degree with 3 : 5 years of experience Experience Requirements 3 : 5 years experience in practical farm production of standard row crops e.g., corn, soybean and wheat. Experience in alternative Specialty Crops Production such as canola, sunflower and sorghum is helpful. Farmer interaction will be a significant requirement of this position. Seed Sales and Marketing. Strong negotiating skills. Understanding of seed industry forecasting cycles. Experience Preferred:Agronomic skills / knowledge / background.:Advanced degree(s) in an agricultural related field, Agricultural Business, and Dales, CCA preferred.:Background in farming practices and farm management. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements Able to operate a motor vehicle and travel to and from customer locations. Able to move freely about farms and other agricultural areas. Exposed to external weather conditions to include rain, snow, and extreme temperatures (:15 : 90 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 : 100), and noise (50db to 100db).
