Currently, we import, manufacture, and distribute over 7,000 Japanese foods, beverages, restaurant equipment and supplies.Sign-On Bonus: New Hires will receive a $500 sign-on bonus after completing 3 months of employment.--If you have a Class A License, the rate starts at $29.69 There is also a $200/month driver allowance for Class A.If you have a Class B License, the rate starts at $29.40 There is also a $150/month driver allowance for Class B.--Hours: M-F: 8AM - 5PM; 1 hr. lunch; OT may applyBenefits----All paid Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance for employees and their dependentsLife Insurance and 401k Plan with company matchUniform and safety shoes are provided by the company--Job Responsibilities and Duties----Completes door to door deliveries by driving company truck on assigned routePicks and assembles customer orders as indicated on the pick listMaintains and safely navigates the Company vehicleDocuments, records, and completes driver log when making deliveriesCoordinates with manager and salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customersMaintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent serviceParticipate in the weekly warehouse meetingsAttend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekendProvide logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hoursOther duties as assignedObligation to answer to all management as requested--Physical Requirements----Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hoursAble to work without sitting for extended periods of time, including standing and walkingAble to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequentlyAble to handle and move up to 165 pounds assisted frequentlyWorking ConditionsNoise Level: Loud while indoors--Other Requirements----Conversational level English required; Business level English preferredAble to operate forklift and warehouse machinery in compliance with safety guidelinesAble to work weekends, holidays, afterhours, and 2nd Shift as neededHas and maintains a clean driving recordMaintains a positive attitudeWorks efficiently independently and in a teamAdapts to frequent changes in assignments and workloadHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 1 year of general warehousing experience required2+ years of driver, delivery, and/or freezer experience preferred--Knowledge and skills----Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detailPossesses basic mathematical knowledge such as counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.Has strong communications and interpersonal skillsDemonstrates awareness of proper warehouse safety proceduresForklift training and/or certification preferredReach Truck certification preferredKnowledge of Japanese foods and liquors preferredClass B License requiredDisclaimersThis position description incorporates the general duties, responsibilities and requirements of the above position but is not intended to be exhaustive.
