Position Details:We are looking for Manager, Data Science with a passion for using data and quantitative methods to provide tangible, long:term monetary benefits to our organization. Were looking for people who never stop learning. You will report to Director, Analytics. You will lead a team of analysts that solve complex, data intensive problems. This is a hybrid position based out of either Lake Forest, IL or Chicago, IL. You Will:stylemargin:bottom:2.0px;margin:top:2.0px:: Develop and deploy statistical and machine learning models that improve the effectiveness of our business operations: Measure and identify the drivers of business performance: Manage the development of explanatory, predictive, and prescriptive models appropriate for solving different business problems: Manage the design, execution, and measurement of experiments including delivery of results and recommendations: Develop the hypotheses to inform exploratory data analysis and apply deep business knowledge to customer and marketplace data to uncover new insights: Manage relationships between business partners and the data science team; partner with the business to identify and implement analytical solutions and contribute to go:to:market strategies: Create and present the materials necessary to communicate the results of analytical work and associated recommendations: Identify white:space opportunities using our go:to:market model, and the broader MRO market: Coach team members on project work; assist junior team members in developing new skills You Have:stylemargin:bottom:2.0px;margin:top:2.0px:: 7+ years of experience in analytics and data science roles: Bachelor Science (BS) or higher in a technical field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Applied Analytics, Operations Research, Applied Science or Engineering: Proficient in usage of databases (e.g. Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle) and querying languages (e.g. SQL): Advanced in one of the following programming languages: Python, R, SPSS, or SAS: Proficiency with extraction and manipulation of very large structured and unstructured datasets: Proficiency with data visualization techniques: Proficiency with one or more analytical techniques and knowledge of others: multi:variate linear regression, logistic regression, time series modeling, statistical design of experiments and hypothesis testing, clustering, dimension reduction techniques, classification, gradient:boosting, and natural language processing algorithms: Proficiency applying cloud:based machine learning resources such as those from AWS: Experience establishing relationships and building credibility with collaborators and colleagues: Experience prioritizing tasks and aligning partner expectations: Experience mentoring others Rewards and Benefits:With benefits starting day one, our programs provide choice and flexibility to meet team members individual needs.
