Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience. Role Overview: The Placement Line Coordinator serves as a member of the foster care team within a Region of the Department of Child Services (DCS). The purpose of the position is to received referrals from peer field staff on youth needing a placement setting, primarily of non:relative foster care. Incumbent will conduct diligent search for youth needing placement and provide responsible and appropriate matches to their needs with the capacity of the caregivers. They will document in an electronic system and be responsible for maintaining good communication with caller. They will attend team meetings to identify the most appropriate homes based on the needs of the youth and will participate in brainstorming strategies and services to maintain stability of placement. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: :Investigate reported incidents of child abuse, neglect, or dependency, makes determination of whether the incident is substantiated and develops recommendations to a Juvenile Court or County Director for disposition.:Assess level of risk to the child for additional injury or harm, including whether the child is in imminent
