Job Description:This assignment involves modeling, simulation,design and testing of embedded systems.Candidates will partake in small, focuseddevelopment team in order to create real worldsolutions using scientific first principals intoinnovative designs for applied technologies.Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, facility layout and organization, MATLAB, Python, and/or electrical,RF or optical design and simulation tools ishelpful. Hands on lab experience is preferred.Candidates would work on one or more of thefollowing topics:* Embedded processing and algorithmsfor military applications* Lab testing and integration of highperformance ruggedized embedded systems* Support modeling and simulationefforts related to these systems* Support for electrical, optical, anddesign efforts* Mechanical engineering support, including hardware assembly, parts list validation, and minor design work Basic Qualifications: * Candidate should be currently pursuing a BS orMS in electrical engineering, computer science,physics (waves or electromagnetic), computerengineering, or mechanical engineering program Desired Skills: * Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, optical,and/or RF modeling/simulation/design tools;* Knowledge of Creo Parametric, Fusion 360, or similar CAD software* Previous internship(s)* experience with research at the university level Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
