Veterinary Assistant Department: Veterinary Assistants Employment Type: Full Time Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Description Neel Veterinary Hospital is now hiring for full-time veterinary assistants to join our team! We are searching for individuals with veterinary care experience who are excited to learn, work well on a team, enjoy a fast-paced climate, and place patient care as the most important aspect of their role. Our 24 hour hospital offers a variety of caseload, including exotic patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Caring for our patients. Cleaning, laundry and basic hospital up keep. Patient handling and restraint. Medication administration & filling prescriptions. Assisting other team members and our Veterinarians, as needed Tackling projects as assigned - with a smile, as always! Skills Knowledge and Expertise High school diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience. Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It's okay if you talk to animals, too!) Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds.
