UC's IDD Education Center programs support transition age youth and adults with a wide range of intellectual and developmental disabilities to discover and fulfill their purpose. Transition services are about more than managing life on campus. These services are essential for empowering young people and adults to realize their full potential and taking their places in the world : a world that is enriched through their contributions. Job Overview The Transition and Access Pathways (TAP) program is a four:year college education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). TAP is a full:time program designed for students between 18:26 years of age who have completed their high school requirements. TAP is emerging as a leader in creating an authentic living:learning opportunity that builds career skills, academic achievement, personal responsibility, social networks, and a promising future. TAP students live on campus or commute and earn a university recognized certificate upon completion of the four:year program. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated adjunct instructor to join our team at the TAP program, designed for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As an adjunct instructor, you will play a crucial role in providing high:quality education and support to TAP students, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals. This position is part:time and may involve teaching evening or weekend classes to accommodate student schedules. Flexibility and a student:centered approach are essential for success in this role. Essential Functions: Course Instruction: Design (as needed) and deliver engaging instruction in various subjects relevant to the TAP curriculum, ensuring accessibility and accommodation forlearning needs.: Curriculum Development: Collaborate with program leadership to develop and update course materials, assessments, and instructional strategies that promote student success and independence, as needed.: Student Support: Provide individualized support and guidance to TAP students, including academic coaching, skill development, and fostering self:advocacy and self:determination.: Assessment and Feedback: Conduct assessments to measure student progress and outcomes, provide timely feedback, and implement interventions as needed to address challenges and promote growth.: Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other instructors, staff, and community partners to create a supportive
