Highlands Periodontics and Implant Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist in various procedures and surgeries. The ideal person for this type of role is a good listener, outgoing and compassionate, organized and adaptable and an excellent problem solver. This vital role greets our patients, displays professionalism, and maintains confidentiality at all times. Responsibilities: Provide patient-care services – Take vital signs, verify all medical history and chart notes. Create and maintain patient-care plans, while instructing and guiding patients on progress. Take Radiographs – Take CBCTs, PAs, FMX, and BWX as needed. Set up and clean rooms – Put instruments out in rooms and clean up after procedures, utilizing proper infection control techniques. Perform supportive procedures – Perform procedures such as impressions. Surgical assisting – Assist during surgical procedures. Order products – Keep accurate inventory and order supplies as needed for the clinical side of the office. Requirements: Registered Dental Assistant from the Tennessee Board of Dentistry Certificate in dental radiology from the Tennessee Board of Dentistry Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment Previous clinical experience is preferred About Highlands Periodontics and Implant Dentistry Highlands Periodontics and Implant Dentistry is a new periodontal practice in Kingsport, TN (Colonial Heights). We specialize in treating gum disease in its different forms through various surgical procedures, and we place dental implants.
