The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, detailed, auditing experience and possess the ability to work with a team. The ideal candidate will also need to be able to communicate effectively verbally, electronically and in writing with both internal and external stakeholders. Serves as Assistant Laboratory Accreditation officer in the Quality Assurance Unit, assisting with developing procedures utilized to assess applications for accreditation and conducting assessments of laboratories on:site statewide. :Assists Quality Assurance Unit Manager in conducting/reviewing assessments of laboratories requesting accreditation utilizing criteria established by the Agency.:Corresponds with laboratories seeking accreditation and reviews required documents submitted by the labs.:Prepares for the assessment by reviewing methods and preparing checklists.:Prepares reports detailing areas of noncompliance by established timelines.:Reviews reports and other work products for quality and completeness.:Works as a member of a team to accomplish unit goals.:Travels in performance of duties. Assists in processing applications for accreditation with rules established by the Agency to determine laboratory compliance. :Assists in the Agency's Laboratory Accreditation Program, to assure compliance with Agency rules and regulations by evaluating initial, changes and renewal applications for accreditation, and associated laboratory data for both primary and secondary laboratories.:Reviews applications to validate the methods are authorized and the lab meets all accreditation requirements.:Utilizes a personal computer and data base software to track accreditation status of laboratories.
