University of Iowa Healthcare Department of Nursing is seeking a Support Services Specialist (Water Program Technical Coordinator) to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager with the Dialysis Water Program (Dialysis Units will include Peds, Inpatient, Center, Washington, Grinnell, Muscatine, and North Liberty - Travel required.)About the UI Dialysis Program:The University of Iowa Dialysis Program operates 8 different dialysis units throughout the hospital and throughout the region. At the University campus, there is a pediatric unit, a home unit, an in-center unit, and an acute inpatient unit. There are four satellite units and they are located in North Liberty, Grinnell, Muscatine, and Washington.University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics-recognized as one of the best hospitals in the United States-is Iowa's only comprehensive academic medical center and a regional referral center. Some extended hours due to unit scheduling needsLocation: University Campus, North Liberty, Grinnell, Muscatine, and Washington Benefits Highlights: Fringe benefit package including paid vacation; sick leave; health, dental, life, and disability insurance options; and generous employer contributions into retirement plans.Education or Equivalency Required * Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * One year of experience as a certified nursing assistant, dialysis technician or clinical technician involving patient care and monitoring * Proven dependability and performance as a team player * Proficiency in computer spreadsheet and database applications and experience with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Power Point, and Excel). * Demonstrates attention to detail Desired Qualifications: * Experience in Dialysis * Experience with hospital operations and/or Ambulatory Clinic operations * Experience with disinfection and sampling of dialysis RO water systems Application Process: In order to be considered, applicants must upload a resume (under submission relevant materials) that clearly address how they meet the listed required and desired qualifications of this position.Applicant Resource Center - Need help submitting an application or accepting an offer?
