Position Type: Social Worker Start Date: August 2024 District: Manson NW Webster Location: North Central Consortium School Description: The North Central Consortium School is currently accepting applications for a Student Services Coordinator. NCCS is a consortium of 28 member school districts, serving as an alternative setting for students in grades K-12, and is a part of the Manson Northwest Webster Community School District. The North Central Consortium School assists students who would benefit from an alternative setting that provides additional support for their social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. We provide a high staff to student ratio and small class sizes in order to best meet the individual needs of our students. Job Summary: Provide services to enhance the academic and social-emotional growth of children by supporting the students, families, and school staff in building their capacity to meet the needs of each child. Is responsible to provide leadership and vision in the ongoing planning, implementation, and development of the students plans, coordinate community outreach, while providing support, encouragement, guidance, and accountability for the school staff. Primary Responsibilities Will be working with K-12 students and their families Manage Student intake & orientation process Provides individual and small group social skills instruction Communicates with local districts and families regarding attendance Conducts interest inventories, risk assessments, and social histories Coordinates outreach to community service providers and assists families with the referral process Collaborates with other professionals to develop a continuum of services Coaches families on skill development in the home Supports resident districts in developing supports/services to promote student success Collaborates with team to evaluate effectiveness of individual student plans Compile monthly Medicaid billing information Support student during transition to NCCS and the reintegration back to public school Provides crisis management services and supports the behavioral intervention staff Provides conflict resolution/mediation services Conducts home visits Must have a strong knowledge base regarding social/emotional skills and experience teaching such skills. Have understanding of MTSS Will be trained in CPI Certification Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (Master's preferred)
