Maintenance Technician and Hot Tub Tech The Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls is hiring a full-time maintenance technician. You'll be responsible for fixing minor plumbing, electrical, and other issues. Additionally, the role involves maintaining hot tubs by testing pH levels, draining, scrubbing, and refilling. Some landscaping and groundskeeping tasks, like mowing and mulching, may be required. In winter, snow removal duties may be assigned. A company vehicle and necessary tools are provided. Must be able to work some weekends. If you refer a new employee who stays in good standing for 90 days, you'll receive a $500 bonus. Enjoy retail, food, and golf discounts, as well as a free stay, spa treatment, and dinner annually. Benefits include holiday pay, PTO, discretionary bonuses, a simple IRA savings plan, and health insurance. Work shirts are provided. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. A criminal background check will be conducted. $250 bonus available for employees in good standing after 90 days. Responsibilities:• Mowing and weed-eating grounds, mulching when necessary• Fixing minor plumbing, electrical, and other issues• Checking and maintaining hot tub standards• Maintain/Clean/ change machinery and items such as ice machines, furnace filters, light bulbs, water filters, etc.• Maintenance on vehicles• Troubleshooting• On-call every 3 weeks for after-hours calls• Other tasks as assigned by the head maintenance supervisor• Plowing/Shoveling Snow Qualifications:• Demonstrated minor maintenance skills encompassing electrical and plumbing tasks• Adhere to a comprehensive list of responsibilities or work alone• Possession of a valid driver's license is required• Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory• Attention to detail is essential• Proficiency in utilizing hand and power tools is necessary• On-the-job training will be provided• Reliable transportation • Excellent communication skills Compensation: $14.00-$16.00 per hour About Company: Our company has been in operation for 38 years. We are a full-service Inn with Geodomes, Cottages, Yurts, Cabins, and Lodges. We also have an onsite restaurant where we serve breakfast daily to all guests for free. We are open for lunch in the peak season (May through October) and are open for dinner nightly. We have a spa where visitors can get massages, spa facials, scrubs, wraps, etc. We have great benefits such as paid vacation, personal time, discretionary bonuses, health insurance, and gift shop discounts. We also offer discounted meals and spa services as well as free items such as towels and sheets when available. We also own a golf course and you can golf for free. Employee bonus after 90 days.
