The ideal candidates are results-driven, passionate about the green industry and contributing to growth. Seeking experienced Landscape Maintenance Tech to maintain athletic fields on Nantucket . Applicants must have experience in cutting commercial grass and preferred an active pesticide license to apply fertilizer and herbicides or experience. Ideal candidate will have golf course experience in using commercial mowers and spray equipment. Must be able to do PM on equipment. Responsibilities Include: • Maintenance professional grade turf on town's athletic fields for bi-weekly service.* Mix, prepare, and apply chemical solutions (e.g., insecticides, herbicides, fungicides) in order to control pests, weeds, or plant disease using a sprayer or spreader• Run spray and application equipment, including rider spreader.• Aerate, top-dress, and sod/sprig/seed both new and existing turf• Spread granular fertilizer and liquid spray applications• Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform turf maintenance duties* Experience in turning on and off sprinkler systems and repair* Landscape and hardscape experience is a plus.Preference if applicant has an active pesticide license to apply fertilizer and herbicidesA valid drivers license is required with a good driving record.We Offer:Paid vacationHealth InsuranceSick PayRetirement SavingsClothing AllowanceReferral BonusPowered by JazzHR
